Luvable Friends Flannel Receiving Blankets, Blue, 5 Pack

I only use receiving blankets as burp cloths, so these to me are great. They're soft and don't irritate my daughter's face when I clean her up. If you want to use these to swaddle your baby, they'd probably work for a premie and that's about it. They aren't long enough to swaddle even a small full-term baby. But if you're just looking for burp clothes or something like that, these are great.

You can not have too many blankets. We got these before Chris was born and they swaddled him nice and snug at 7lbs 14oz and 20.5 inches. He is going to be 8 weeks old over 14Lbs and 22 inches, so swaddling has become for blankets 30"x40". These flannel blankets are cute and easy to match with many of his outfits and still cover him very well. He tends to grab them now and snuggle them so I'm sure they'll last him quite a while before I give them up for him.

SwaddleDesigns Lightweight Marquisette Swaddling Blanket - Pastel Blue with Brown Mod Circles

This is a great lightweight blanket for swaddling in spring, summer or fall. It washes well. It is large enough to use for many months as opposed to some of the smaller receiving blankets. We purchased two more because we liked them so much.

I bought this when my son was 3 months old and always startling himself awake, but too long for the regular swaddle wraps. I didn't get much use for swaddling him out of this, though it did fit him (at 25" long), as he was able to wiggle out of it pretty easily. What I do use it for is as a lightweight nursing cover (no more sweaty baby undercover in restaurants!) and makeshift sling to help me carry some of his weight (note: a knotted blanket "sling" is not sufficient to carry all of your baby's weight safely, hold on to him!). Love the fabric and design, great blanket.

Luvable Friends 4-Pack Flannel Receiving Blankets

I recieved these blankets as a shower gift and really like them. They maybe a little small in size and a little thin but there are many uses for these blankets such as a lite blanket to cover the baby in while in the swing or carseat or while in the shade. They are not very expensive so they arent a complete loss.
